Ahhhhh childhood! Except I used to be way into red pop. It’s so funny to see Faygo in Portland! It isn’t all that good anymore…

Actually really looking forward to this. Christmas in PA, New Years in MI. 2 weeks of family and relaxation (surprising that those two words can actually coexist in the same sentence!)

So I went to Last Thursday last night which is this huge neighborhood gathering for 15 blocks in NE Portland on Alberta Street. These shenanigans happen every last Thursday during the springish/summer months. It was georgous outside yesterday, I spent quite a while in Laurelhurst park and soaked in some sunshine. I even started riding my bike again and last night as I was biking home I was climbing a hill and thought my muscles would tear out of my legs! I’m going to try to ride my bike as much as possible this summer to save some money on that gasoline. Plus, I live in such a wonderful city that I can ride my bike practically anywhere… actually I can ride my bike everywhere. Even though I have the lamest bike and it actually belongs to my mom.

I leave for Michigan on Monday, which I’m excited about! I’m not looking forward to the plane ride because suddenly I have this aching feeling in my stomach about getting on the airplane. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. I’m scheduled to take off around 3pm PST and arrive in Michigan at midnight EST. Then on Thursday we head up to Central Lake, Michigan for the 4th of July weekend. I can’t wait to be with family, sunshine, food, boats, water and fireworks!

I’m so happy about this lovely weather we’re having. I’ve been spending every day in a park somewhere around Portland! I’ve been to Laurelhurst, Mt. Tabor, Col. Summers! So nice to be outside and not clutching to my sweater and jacket!

Also, I’m going to the Eastmoreland Garage Sale tomorrow and hopefully not spend too much money on old stuff. I’m mostly interested in checking it out, taking pictures and seeing what kinds of digs these rich people have been keeping in their mansions! Just kidding (kinda).

Also, I’ve been spending my morning hours (I’ve been waking up at 7 or 9 am every day for no reason) watching Bones. I’m telling you, that is a damn good show. Thank you, Netflix (and Roku) for making my life so much easier! So if you haven’t seen it yet, start watching some Bones. If you have Netflix they have seasons 1-4 and hulu has some of season 5 that was just on.
